My Book is out!

My book, Heroic Disobedience: Forced Marriage and the British Novel, 1748-1880, published with Vernon Press is out now!

It was a labor of love (and other, less nice things) that I was tempted to abandon so many times; most of it was written during the peak pandemic era when I was the primary form of childcare for my (then) toddler. But I did it.

I'd be honored if you'd give it a read, or -- even better -- request your local/academic library buy a copy and then read it! Academic titles like this are primarily sold to university libraries, so prodding your library to get a copy will make a big difference.
